Address the rumours surrounding VP Osinbajo – Pastor Bakare tells Presidency

Pastor Tunde Bakare has told the Nigeria’s Presidency to address the rumours surrounding the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

Pastor Bakare, the General Overseer, Dominion Hall, Citadel Global Community Church which was formerly Latter Rain Assembly said this while he was preaching on Sunday.

Reports had emerged in the last couple of months about a strained relationship between VP Osinbajo and the cabal at the Presidency which culminated in the sacking and redeployment of some of his aides.

VP Osinbajo, also was relieved of some duties such as overseeing the Social Investment Programme and the economic advisory team.

Bakare, while reacting, said there was a need for the Presidency address the rumours.

In his words, “It is my considered opinion that all the rumor mills and things going around the Vice-President in this nation, the government must address this country and tell the plain truth about what is going on instead of letting people to continue to make guesses that are unprofitable for our nation or anybody.

“And if they don’t want to say anything, then let them not say but stop this nonsense that is going on. You have a moral responsibility to account for the mess that is going on if you don’t stop it.”

Pastor Bakare, who was running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari, back in  2011, said he never applied to be Buhari’s running mate.

He added that no one could relegate as he has “gained access” to the mountain.

I didn’t apply to be running mate. I was minding my business when I was called.

They gave me access into the mountain and you can’t check me out of the place. No”, he said.

Pastor Bakare added that  the Bible “is replete with examples of persons who were nowhere but God elevated them.”
