Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo state on Sunday was attacked, DailyPost Reports.
The ugly incident took place at Ohaji area of the state.
Upon the arrival of the governor at the area, youths from Mmahu community shouted repeatedly “Onye Oshi Vote, Onye Oshi Vote” which in Igbo means stolen votes.
The youths threw bottles and sticks at his convoy.
Senator Uzodinma’s bulletproof vehicle was alsodamaged.
The governor could no longer attend the function he went for at Ohaji.
He was stopped him from alighting from his vehicle by his security details due to the tensed atmosphere.
The operatives then made a detour and whisked the governor away to safety.
