Coronavirus: Lagos discharge 87 patients in one day

The Government of Lagos State has announced the discharge of 87 Coronavirus patients in the state after recovery.

This was disclosed in a tweet on Tuesday by the Chief Press secretary to the state governor, Mr Gboyega Akosile.

According to him 40 of the patients were females and 47 were males bringing the total to 825 discharged in the state.

Akosile wrote,, “#COVID19 Update by the Incident Commander, Governor @jidesanwoolu

“Good people of Lagos,

“I bring you great news from our isolation facilities. Today, 87 fully recovered #COVID19Lagos patients; 40 females and 47 males, all Nigerians have been discharged to join the society.

“The patients; 26 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 24 from Onikan, 12 from Eti-Osa (LandMark), 11 from Agidingbi, 9 from Gbagada and 5 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to #COVID19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Isolation facilities is now 825.

“As our front line health workers records successes in this battle against #COVID19, we urge citizens to adhere strictly to our public advisories and directives as this is the only way we can break the chain of transmission of the infection.”
