The Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, has requested that all its parishes in the states of Lagos and Ogun should not to allow more than 50 persons per service.
This new directive is comes after an order was made by the state governments limiting persons in social and religious gatherings to 50.
Folorunsho Odesola, the Assistant General Overseer administration and personal said this in a memo which was issued to its parishes in the two states, he the church was amending its worship schedules as a precaution to containing the spread of Coronavirus.
He stated that parishes with average attendance of 50 members or less can carry on with their service without any changes, while those with more than 50 members should run simultaneous services with the main church via their house fellowship centres.
In his words, “Parishes that have the facility to run more than one service can also do so, under the strict directive that worshippers won’t exceed 50 people per service.”
